Three different situations
Tres situaciones diferentes

Esta sección, dividida en tres diálogos, presenta diferentes formas de disculparse. Escucha con atención y trata de repetirlo luego.

Man:

Hello. I'm sorry to bother you, but I think your car is parked in my space downstairs.

Qué tal. Siento molestarla 
pero creo que su auto se encuentra estacionado (aparcado) abajo en mi lugar.

Woman:

Really?

¿En serio?

Man:

Yes. Do you drive a blue Honda?

Sí. ¿Usted conduce un Honda azul?

Woman:

Yes, I do.

Así es. 

Man:

Well, there's a blue Honda parked in space 13 and that's my space.

Bueno, hay un Honda azul estacionado (aparcado) en el lugar 13 y ése es mi espacio.

Woman:

Oh, I'm so sorry. My son must have put it in the wrong space. Ours is the one right next to yours, number 12. Let me get my keys and I'll go right down and move the car.

Oh, cuánto lo siento. Mi hijo debe haberse equivocado 
de lugar. El nuestro está exactamente al lado del 
suyo, número 12. Voy a 
buscar las llaves y ya 
mismo bajo a moverlo.

Man:

Thanks.

Gracias.

Woman:

And I'll make sure my son doesn't do it again.

Y me aseguraré que mi hijo 
no lo haga otra vez.

Man:

I appreciate it.

Le agradezco. 

Half an hour late   Media hora tarde 

Gino:

Gee. You're really late!! You said you'd be here at 6 and look at the time, it's almost 6:30.

Uhh. ¡¡Llegaste realmente tarde!! Dijiste que estarías 
aquí a las seis y observa la hora, son casi las seis y media.

Khalil:

I'm really sorry. Tell you what. I'll pay for dinner.

Realmente lo siento. Déjame decirte algo. Pagaré la cena.

Gino:

That's right. You don't have to do that.

Esta bien. No tienes que hacer eso.

Khalil:

No, I want to pay!! You had to wait for me almost half an hour... Well?

No, ¡¡quiero pagar yo!! Tuviste que esperarme casi media hora... ¿Y? 

Gino:

Hey OK, if you insist. Thanks!!

Eh, de acuerdo, si insistes. ¡¡Gracias!!

I completely forgot   Me olvidé por completo 

Mike:

Hi, Sally. What happened to you on Sunday?

Hola, Sally. ¿Qué te pasó el domingo?

Sally:

Sunday? What do you mean?

¿El domingo? ¿Qué quieres decir?

Mike:

You don't remember? I had a party and I invited you.

¿No recuerdas? Tenía una fiesta y te invité.

Sally:

Oh, gosh... Of course you did. And I completely forgot about it!! I was busy all day helping my brother with his car, and I guess I just forgot. Sorry!! How did the party go, anyway?

Oh, cielos... Claro que me invitaste. ¡¡Y yo me olvidé completamente!! Estuve todo 
el día ocupada ayudando a mi hermano con su auto y creo que se me olvidó. ¡¡Discúlpame!! 
¿Y cómo anduvo la fiesta? 

Mike:

It was great, but we missed you. 

Estuvo sensacional, pero te extrañamos.

Sally:

Gee, now I really feel bad.

Uhh, ahora sí que me siento mal.

to bother = to annoy (molestar, incomodar)
to park / parked / parked / parking (estacionar, aparcar)
to drive / drove / driven / driving (conducir, manejar)
my son must have put it... = maybe my son put it... (quizás mi hijo lo haya puesto...)
the wrong place =/= the right place (el lugar equivocado =/= el lugar correcto, indicado)
I appreciate it = I'm grateful (le agradezco, aprecio su comprensión)
almost = nearly, just about (casi)
I'll pay for dinner: No es correcto decir  I'll pay the dinner  (pagaré la cena)
you don't have to do that = you mustn't do that (no tienes que hacer eso, no te sientas obligado a hacerlo)
Oh, gosh!!: Expresión coloquial utilizada para indicar sorpresa fuerte.
Oh, gee!!: Expresión coloquial utilizada para indicar sorpresa moderada.
