BINOMIALS are idiomatic expressions in
which two words are joined by a conjunction (generally AND, OR, BUT). The
order of the words is usually fixed. Let's study below some bilingual
binomials together with examples... |

ODDS AND ENDS (chucherías, cosas sin valor) |
|
Sometimes you can identify a binomial because of the sound pattern. |
|
Other times the clue is that the words are nearly synonyms. |
|
Many prepositions and adverbs usually combine to form binomials. |

There are binomials linked by words others than conjunction AND. |
