The River – El Río

PRIMERA PARTE. Lee este texto (como mínimo dos veces) mientras escuchas el audio y prestas especial atención al nuevo vocabulario en negrita.

 

THE RIVER. The Gryns are in the jungle, near a river, together with the other people from the safari.

There are many animals around them. To the left of them there is a lion, and near the lion, a monkey. Far away we can see an elephant. To the right there is a zebra and a giraffe. Near Mrs. Gryn's foot there is a mouse.

It is almost dark, and they are going to cross the river. They can either swim or take a boat. They are going to take a boat because there is a crocodile in the river and because the river is very wide. Mr. and Mrs. Gryn think that they are going back home soon. They are feeling very tired.

SEGUNDA PARTE: Ahora lee el mismo texto de arriba ya traducido el cual hemos desglosado en 4 audios. Escúchalos con atención y luego trata de imitarlos, repitiéndolos en voz alta como mínimo dos veces cada audio.

 Los Gryn se encuentran en la jungla, cerca de un río, junto con las otras personas del safari. Hay muchos animales a su alrededor.
 

To the left of them there is a lion, and near the lion, a monkey. Far away we can see an elephant. To the right there is a zebra and a giraffe. Near Mrs. Gryn's foot there is a mouse.
A su izquierda hay un león y, cerca del león, un mono. A lo lejos, podemos ver un elefante. A la derecha hay una cebra y una jirafa. Cerca del pie de la Sra. Gryn hay un ratón.
 

It is almost dark, and they are going to cross the river. They can either swim or take a boat. They are going to take a boat because there is a crocodile in the river and because the river is very wide.
Es casi de noche y van a cruzar el río. Ellos pueden nadar o tomar un bote. Van a tomar un bote porque hay un cocodrilo en el río y porque el río es muy ancho.
 

Mr. and Mrs. Gryn think that they are going back home soon. They are feeling very tired.
El Sr. y la Sra. Gryn creen que van a regresar a casa pronto. Se están sintiendo muy cansados.
 

Ahora que se encuentran a salvo del caníbal, están rodeados de fieras. ¡¡ Vaya aventura !!
 Vayamos a practicar nuevo vocabulario ...
