Thousands of miles from earth, on the far side of the universe, is a small
planet, Fliptune. It is dark and cold, far from the sun, behind a much bigger
planet.

A miles de millas de la tierra,
en el extremo lejano del universo, se encuentra un pequeño
planeta, Fliptune. Es oscuro y frío, alejado del sol, detrás de un planeta mucho
más grande. |
Little green aliens live there. They use torches to see.

Pequeños extraterrestres
verdes viven allí. Utilizan linternas para ver. |
One day, a young alien, Neila, put the wrong batteries in her torch.

Un día, una joven
extraterrestre, Neila, colocó las baterías incorrectas en su
linterna. |
Suddenly, there was a dazzling beam of light. It went up into the sky, around
the sun, and hit planet earth.

De pronto, apareció un rayo de
luz enceguecedor. Subió hasta el cielo, alrededor del sol, y
golpeó el planeta tierra. |
The light hit a boy called Billy and his dog, Splodge. Neila quickly turned the
torch off, but the pair were sucked up by the light.

La luz golpeó a un muchacho de
nombre Billy y a su perro, Splodge. Neila rápidamente apagó
la linterna, pero la pareja fue absorbida por la luz. |
They flew through space and landed near Neila.“Hello,” said Billy. Neila waved.

Los dos volaron por el espacio
y desembarcaron cerca de Neila.“Hola,” dijo Billy. Neila
saludó.

“Wow!” said Billy. “Everything’s made of ice cream!” Splodge licked his paw.

“¡Caray!” dijo Billy. “¡Todo
está hecho de helado!” Splodge se lamió la pata. |
“The ice cream never melts. And nobody eats it. It’s too cold here,” said
Neila.”It will in my tummy,” thought Splodge.

“El helado nunca se derrite. Y
nadie lo come. Hace demasiado frío aquí,” dijo
Neila. ”Se derretirá en mi panza,” pensó Splodge. |
Neila looked sad. “Can you help us?” she said. “We need sunshine to make things
grow.”

Neila se veía triste. “¿Puedes
ayudarnos?” dijo ella. “Necesitamos sol para que las cosas
crezcan.” |
”No problem,” said Billy. “Can you get us home? I have an idea.” “Wait there!”
said Neila.

”No hay problema,” dijo Billy. “¿Puedes
llevarnos a casa? Tengo una idea.” “¡Espera aquí!”
dijo Neila. |
She got her torch, put the wrong batteries in again. ZOOOOOOOOOM! Billy and
Splodge were speeding back to earth.

Tomó su linterna, colocó de
nuevo las baterías incorrectas. ¡ZUUUUUUUUUM! Billy y
Splodge estaban viajando a toda velocidad hacia la tierra. |
Billy pointed his bedroom mirror between the sun and Fliptune. The sun’s rays
bounced off the mirror and up onto Neila’s planet.

Billy apuntó el espejo de su
dormitorio entre el sol y Fliptune. Los rayos del sol
rebotaron desde espejo hasta el planeta de Neila. |
Thanks to Billy, Fliptune is not cold any more. Splodge moves the mirror each
day to keep the sun shining there. Now, Neila and her friends sit in the sun and
enjoy all that free ice cream.
